Green Helmet Program

Aldridge recognizes that the chances of an injury happening are highest when an employee first  joins a company. To proactively address this issue Aldridge instituted the Green Helmet Program.

Upon completion of the new hire orientation, enrollment into the program is mandatory for any employee who has never worked for Aldridge or has not worked for Aldridge in the last two years. All employees in the program will be issued a safety helmet with a green helmet-band upon indoctrination. It is the duty of every Aldridge employee to help mentor and nourish any participant in the green helmet program to ensure they are made to feel a part of the team and learn the Aldridge Way. Participants of the program will receive daily training on topics such as:

  • How and where to install grounds

  • Where to set up Daily Task Analysis signs

  • How and where to place cones and barricades

  • How and where to set up “Overhead Power Line” signs

  • Where to find and how to use Vehicle Accident/Incident Kit

  • Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports

  • Setting up traffic control signs

  • Learn about rigging inspection

  • Drill rig signals

  • Tools and other pieces of equipment associated with drilling

  • How to give the Daily Task Analysis

  • Designated Spotter Duties

After two weeks in the program, and again at four weeks, employees are evaluated to ensure that they have a satisfactory understanding of safe work practices and policies.

Upon completing a full eight weeks of the program, the employee is given a final evaluation, and if proven satisfactory, can remove their sticker/band.
