Five Key Elements

Aldridge’s objective is to instill a belief in all employees that they are the most important assets to the company, and that their safety and well-being are paramount. To raise awareness with better appreciation of unseen dangers and possibilities, managers, supervisors, and employees are held responsible to communicate and live by the 5 key elements of incident prevention.

1. Conduct effective, excellent new hire and IIF orientations. Set the safety performance expectations early and reinforce our commitment to be Incident & Injury Free through your actions.

2. Develop a solid work plan using the experience of our Foremen and craft. The right plan is one of the most effective safety tools we can use.

3. Take responsibility for identifying, controlling, and communicating hazards through use of the Daily Task Analysis.

4. Make sure that the work plan and the hazard analysis are always followed in the field. If conditions change, stop. Update the plan and communicate the new hazard controls before resuming work.

5. Be involved and watch our work. The most important thing we can do is to follow the plan and hold ourselves accountable for our actions.
