Greenlane EV Charging Flagship Station - California

Aldridge delivered civil and electrical infrastructure for Greenlane’s flagship electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Colton, California. The facility is the first in a nationwide network designed to support medium- and heavy-duty commercial EVs along major freight corridors.

The team completed the fast-track build in just six weeks, utilizing prefabricated ductbank racks and Virtual Design Construction (VDC) to streamline delivery. Aldridge’s integrated approach helped keep the project on schedule while supporting Greenlane’s broader rollout strategy.

The Colton site features 40 high-speed chargers and supports both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Key infrastructure includes:

  • 400 kW dual-port chargers with oil-cooled cables for high-efficiency energy transfer

  • 180 kW units designed for bobtail fleet charging with integrated smart energy management

  • Trenwa precast cable trench for flexible expansion

  • Future-ready design with solar panels and battery storage planned in subsequent phases

Located on the I-15 corridor between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, the Colton station is a critical anchor in the nation’s first commercial EV charging corridor. This project sets the foundation for Greenlane’s mission to build a reliable, scalable network to support the next generation of clean transportation.
