Transmission Line Infrastructure Rebuild – Midwest
Power | Transmission | Midwest
Aldridge was engaged to complete a critical segment of a transmission line in the Midwest, specifically targeting the most challenging structures on the project. While the majority of the line had been established, the final structures required specialized means and methods that demand a high degree of technical discipline.
The project involved the installation of large diameter, deep foundations requiring rebar cages up to 14’ diameter and 80’ in length. Executing the installation required thorough critical lift plans, which necessitated the use of multiple cranes per pick. Due to the soil conditions, our teams used a combination of permanent casing and slurry drilling methods to ensure excavation stability throughout the process.
The work was a true test of our field crews and specialized fleet. At various points, excessive rainfall caused access matting to shift and float, while some structure locations were completely submerged. Despite these environmental hurdles, our team maintained the necessary precision to deliver resilient foundations for the regional power grid.
This commitment to the Aldridge standard is central to our reputation as a trusted partner for the most demanding infrastructure builds.
