Express Lanes Access Improvement - Virginia
Transportation | Intelligent Transportation Systems | Tolling Systems | Virginia
The Opitz Boulevard Access project is a design-build effort improving connectivity to and from the I-95 Express Lanes in Prince William County, Virginia. The project included relocating the southbound slip ramp into the express lanes and constructing a new access point from Opitz Boulevard, enhancing regional access to hospitals, shopping centers, and other key destinations.
Aldridge provided full ITS and electrical support for the project, including designing, installing, and commissioning traffic signals, lighting systems, power distribution, and communications infrastructure. Our team also integrated new systems with the existing express lanes network to ensure seamless operation and safety. Leveraging nearly a decade of experience on the corridor, Aldridge executed the work efficiently while maintaining continuous operation of critical highway systems, and continues to provide ongoing maintenance to keep these systems running reliably.
