Rebar Capabilities
The Aldridge Rebar Group operates a fabrication and installation division that constructs hand-tied rebar cages for utility, transmission, and civil foundation projects. The group has grown its operational capacity and personnel footprint to support both internal Aldridge operations and external prime contractors nationwide.
Operational Advantages
Assembly is executed by IBEW craftsmen to exact engineering specifications, utilizing specific logistical and safety methodologies:
Crush Cage Technology: Allows for the transportability of pre-assembled structures while maintaining structural integrity during shipping and placement.
Zero-Entry Workflows: Minimizes the need for personnel to enter high-risk zones or open excavation shafts during cage deployment.
Third-Party Contracting: Outside contractors retain the group to fabricate and tie foundation cages on large-scale utility builds, independent of the primary foundation subcontractor.
Representative Industry Experience
The division has a documented track record of executing high-tonnage rebar fabrication scopes across major electrical transmission and utility infrastructure programs:
Midwest Regional Transmission Project: Fabricated and installed 166 rebar cages totaling 1,800 tons of structural steel.
Northeast Infrastructure Reliability Build: Completed 156 rebar cages totaling 900 tons of steel.
Multi-Phase Utility Initiative: Assembled 187 specialized rebar cages utilizing 875 tons of material.
Mid-Atlantic High-Density Corridor Support: Performs civil and foundation support for deep drilled shafts and direct embeds within a congested utility corridor supplying data centers.
Western United States Long-Distance Transmission Build: Fabricating and assembling rebar cages to support a 750-mile major transmission line corridor installation.
