STEVE RIVI

Chairman of the Board

"Real experience is earned in the moments we stumble rather than when we succeed the first time. At our core, we are builders and craftsmen; as long as we maintain that focus, our customers will always see the quality and dedication that define the Aldridge Way."

A Fifty-Year Legacy in the Craft

Steve Rivi’s connection to Aldridge spans half a century, beginning long before he held an official executive title. Growing up in a family of tradesmen, Steve was immersed in the business from a young age. He famously built his first truck at 14 and chose to enter the craft directly as a journeyman electrician, rather than pursuing traditional higher education. This hands-on foundation defined his trajectory as he advanced through every level of the organization. Named Vice President in 1995, President in 2005, and CEO in 2015, Steve guided the company through decades of transformation. Throughout his tenure, he played a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of executive leadership, ensuring that the company’s technical grit remained the primary driver of its national success..

Strategic Oversight and Risk Mitigation

As Chairman of the Board, Steve provides the steady guidance and strategic oversight required as Aldridge continues to grow. He remains deeply engaged in the most complex aspects of the business, particularly in contract negotiation and enterprise risk management, where his decades of field experience enable him to identify and mitigate challenges that others might overlook. Steve believes that a learning culture is vital to the company’s competitive edge, often reminding his teams that no one at Aldridge succeeds alone. By maintaining a focus on operational excellence and a "builder" mindset, he ensures that the company retains its identity as a premier national contractor while managing the complexities of a large-scale enterprise.

Steve’s leadership philosophy is built on being a dedicated listener and a mentor to those seeking to master their craft. Even as the company has scaled significantly, he remains committed to preserving the personal, family feel that has defined its culture for 75 years. He is a strong advocate for talent retention and takes great pride in seeing former employees return to the firm, viewing it as a testament to the strength of the Aldridge Way. Outside of the boardroom, Steve remains an active tinkerer and adventurer. He manages a unique venture importing electric tractors and maintains a prized collection of Mustangs. An avid traveler and outdoorsman, he enjoys hiking and ice skating, recently traveling to Africa to observe gorillas in their natural habitat.
