California Team Earns AGC 2025 Safety Excellence Award

The Aldridge California team was honored with the 2025 Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California Safety Excellence Award for specialty contractors. Presented at the California AGC’s annual conference, this award recognizes our ongoing commitment to our people, our processes, and our safety culture.

For years, we have worked to embed an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) philosophy across our operations. IIF creates an environment where every team member feels secure, supported, and valued. Proactive Planning Before Work Begins

Every shift begins with a Daily Task Analysis (DTA), where crews identify potential hazards before the work starts. As part of this process, we use the SHOK (Seriously Hurt or Killed) Exposure Wheel to evaluate high-risk scenarios and ensure the right controls are in place.

By prioritizing the most critical hazards upfront, we align teams around risks that matter most and establish layers of protection long before work begins.

Empowerment with Stop Work Authority

Empowerment is the cornerstone of our safety culture. Every Aldridge team member, regardless of tenure or role, has Stop Work Authority. If anyone sees a condition or action they believe is unsafe, they have not only the authority, but the responsibility to stop the job.

This shared accountability strengthens our culture and has a positive impact on other trades and project partners. Our proactive safety approach often helps to elevate the overall standard of safety on projects where we work.
