Safety is not just about addressing incidents after they happen; it's about proactively reducing or eliminating potential exposures by verifying all adequate controls are in place. At Aldridge, we've taken a pioneering approach to safety, addressing the precursors to performance errors – also referred to as Brain Centered Hazards. We've taken significant steps to build layers of protection and tools to minimize the severity of incidents, and we're excited to introduce our Serious Injury Prevention program, known as SHOK – Seriously Hurt or Killed.

In the bustling heart of Washington, D.C., the nation's capital, something significant was brewing. COO Brian Mazzei and Safety Vice President O'Brien Mills, representing our esteemed company, were standing side by side with representatives from OSHA, the Secretary of Labor, and our distinguished partners. The occasion? The renewal ceremony for the OSHA Electrical, Transmission, and Distribution (ETD) Strategic Partnership agreement. This pivotal event marked a remarkable milestone, as the five-year renewal cycle signified 20 years of dedicated efforts to enhance safety in our industry.

2nd Annual Women of Aldridge Summit

Women of Aldridge (WOA) is a proactive initiative that actively supports and promotes women in the construction industry. Pucks for Autism Tournament

Pucks for Autism Tournament

This past weekend, 72 teams competed in the 8th Annual Pucks for Autism Hockey Tournament. These teams had a combined goal to raise money and bring awareness to autism. The tournament raised a staggering $126,000 for charity. Team Aldridge raised $8,400 becoming the Top Donating Team and won the chance to play in a charity game at the United Center before a Blackhawks game this 2023/2024 season.

Greenhouse Scholars: Sanah Update

For the past several years, Aldridge has supported the Greenhouse Scholar Program, most recently sponsoring Sanah Ahmed. A student of Cornell University's class of 2023, she is working to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, a cause that is near and dear to the Aldridge family. She was introduced to the disease at the age of 14 when her father’s diabetes became difficult to manage.

A team of 10 Aldridge employees will be traveling to Bolivia, located in Central South America, late this summer for our third year working with Bridges to Prosperity. This team will help build a footbridge that provides access to critical resources like healthcare, education, and employment and creates a long term positive impact on a local community. A team from Aldridge represented at the recent Plane Pull event, an ultimate tug-of-war competition as teams compete to pull an aircraft 12 feet as quickly as possible. Almost 100 teams participated in the 10th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run Plane Pull at O’Hare International Airport.
