This Veterans Day, Aldridge Electric is proud to celebrate the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our nation’s service members. As part of our enduring pledge to support our military heroes, the Aldridge Family Foundation and the Aldridge Gives Foundation are announcing a $2 million giving commitment to support the Oscar Mike Foundation in building a brand-new adaptive facility.
Supporting Those Who Gave Everything
At Aldridge, giving back is woven into our culture. Through Aldridge Gives, an initiative driven by the passion and collective goodwill of our employees, we actively champion causes focused on education, community, health, the environment, and veterans. From participating in the Veterans Ruck March and Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build to supporting Wreaths Across America, our team consistently stands behind our service members and first responders.
Our ongoing partnership with the Oscar Mike Foundation represents a vital extension of that commitment. Established on Veterans Day in 2011 by quadriplegic Marine Corps veteran Noah Currier, Oscar Mike was founded with a singular purpose: to build a vibrant, connected community that keeps injured veterans “on-the-move” by improving mobility, accessibility, mental health, and overall well-being. Through life-changing adaptive sports clinics, outdoor expeditions, and athletic programs, Oscar Mike ensures that injured veterans find renewed purpose, camaraderie, and physical independence.
Expanding the Mission: A New Adaptive Facility
Aldridge Electric recently visited Oscar Mike’s facility in Poplar Grove, Illinois. During the visit, Aldridge representatives met with founder Noah Currier and Executive Director Gil Juarez to see firsthand how their adaptive programming transforms lives.
With demand for adaptive programs continuing to grow, Oscar Mike is embarking on an ambitious vision to construct a new, state-of-the-art facility designed to expand their capacity and ensure no injured veteran is ever turned away. To help turn this vision into reality, the Aldridge Family Foundation and Aldridge Gives Foundation are contributing $2 million toward the construction of this new facility.
"The Aldridge Family Foundation and Aldridge Gives Foundation have been supporting Oscar Mike, which serves disabled veterans. We visited their facility in Poplar Grove and learned more about what they have been doing to help disabled veterans and their plans to build a new facility. We knew we wanted to support their mission. Honoring Veterans Day, it is the perfect time to share this milestone with our veterans and our entire team."
