Thanks for a Great 70 Year Anniversary Celebration!

Founded in 1952 by Len Aldridge, Aldridge Electric began its generational boom. 2022 marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of Aldridge. It has been quite a journey since then.

Take a look at some of our major milestones throughout our 70 years in business!

70 Years of Growth and Improvement

 1950’s

  • Len Aldridge founds Aldridge in 1952, in Nebraska. He later moved Aldridge to Illinois and works tirelessly to build a long-lasting reputation for fast, dependable service and a commitment to customers.

1960’s

  • Aldridge focuses on electrical signage and street lighting installation, gaining recognition as an industry expert at a time when that market is taking off. Aldridge expands its reputation for dependable, quality work on large-scale commercial industrial projects. The business grows and moves to a larger facility in Libertyville, Illinois.

1970’s

  • Aldridge continues to build a reputation for industry leadership. Len’s children, Ken, Sue, and Warren assume control of Aldridge upon Len’s passing. Ken Aldridge becomes president of Aldridge.

1980’s

  • Aldridge enters several new markets and the business continues to grow. Aldridge becomes known for conquering challenging work while growing its reputation for quality, dependability, and dedication to customer satisfaction.

1990’s

  • As Ken becomes the sole owner, the company focuses on entering new markets- including foundation drilling and telecommunications. Aldridge wins its first toll collection system installation, first O’Hare contract, and first national project.

2000’s

  •  Steve Rivi takes the role of President. Aldridge continues targeting growth and accelerates the expansion of the Foundations Division to the east coast. Aldridge is named a ComEd Contractor of Choice (COC)-- the first of many COCs to come.

2010’s

  • A key project in California expands transit work to the west coast. Agile project planning is implemented. Our Highway Group expands to include fencing and sign structure work. Incident and Injury Free (IIF) is rolled out in 2014. The Green Hard Hat Program and the Aldridge Leadership Program (ALP) begin.

2020’s
