Brookfield Wastewater

This Pollution Control Center is operated by the City of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and serves portions of seven Waukesha County communities.

Aldridge's scope for this project was to provide electrical power, instrumentation, and controls for the construction of a low-level phosphorus removal system. A large portion of this system is being installed in an existing building that is being repurposed to house four-disc filters and chemical containers. A new addition to the building contains chemical conditioning tanks.

Crews installed a new parallel electrical feed to the disc filter building which terminates in a new motor control center (MCC). The MCC serves as the main power distribution center for the building. The new MCC was installed in the same location as an existing smaller unit, which it replaced. This required coordination and some temporary power to keep the facility online. Power, instrumentation, and control wiring are being installed to various pumps, valves, and wastewater monitoring equipment. New lighting is also being installed.
