O’Hare International Airport Blast Wall
Aldridge has been involved with the O’Hare Modernization Program (OMP) since it’s inception. Over the course of this major airport expansion, Aldridge has installed nearly 70,000 l.f. (13 miles) of new security fencing and high speed security gates in response to the reconfiguration and addition of runways.
In addition to the permanent installation of high security fencing, a significant amount of temporary fencing was necessary to facilitate the $1 Billion in construction work by segregating the construction areas into landside designations. All of the fencing was 10 feet high, chain linked with barbed and razor wire.
