Aldridge Participates in OSHA Strategic Partnership

April 4th, 2016 - Libertyville, IL

Aldridge is proud to announce it’s participation in the OSHA Strategic Partnership (OSP) between the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, electrical transmission and distribution construction contractors, the IBEW and trade associations. This national partnership agreement aligns OSHA with Aldridge and other participating organizations under a common goal: to reduce injuries, illnesses and deaths in the industry.

“At Aldridge, we have made commitments, as a company as well as individually, to strive for a culture of being incident and injury free. Aligning closely with OSHA and other industry leaders in this strategic partnership is an important part of our proactive safety efforts,” said Alex Aldridge, Chief Operating Officer, Power.

The partnership includes the nation’s largest electrical transmission and distribution contractors, the IBEW labor union, Edison Electric Institute (EEI), and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), all working cooperatively to implement health and safety-related best practices and training. Since the partnership was established in 2004, there has been a noticeable reduction in the injury, illness and fatality rates among the partners’ nearly 26,000 workers. According to OSHA, fatalities among these workers have dropped from 11 in 2004 to 1 in 2013.
