huntington beach Energy project
This project included 43 drilled pier foundations and four circuit breaker pads for switchyards at this Huntington Beach power plant. Challenges included congested work areas due to the large number of craft employees.
The team had to oscillate permanent casing into foundations because of poor soil conditions and proximity of the ocean. Rebar cages had seismic hooks that required additional planning and safety measures to set anchor bolt cages in foundations before pouring.
